We are proud of our longstanding relationship with the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and fully support their continuous improvement journey to the food safety industry. We are honoured to part of the Benchmarking Harmonization Working Group (BHWG) that contributed to the benchmark requirements for GFSI.
In order to remain pertinent and relevant to its members and the wider food industry community, GFSI has opened a consultation, which will allow them to respond directly to the needs and feedback of the food safety community. This consultation is open now and closes on 17 September 2024. They are inviting all stakeholders to review and comment on their Benchmarking Requirements (BMRs).
These requirements serve as the foundation of GFSI’s benchmarking activities and must be fit for purpose in driving harmonisation in food safety systems management. The BMRs also aim to clearly communicate GFSI’s expectations by setting out tangible and objective criteria for the benchmarking process, leading to GFSI recognition and ensuring that this recognition is maintained.
