Angela has over 30 years experience in the food industry. Her career stated in food safety in particular the hygiene disciplines, with the successful development and implementation of an integrated hygiene system for High Risk Operations including scheduling, development of cleaning practices, validation protocols, auditing and training. She then worked within the HACCP arena developing system for validation of pre-requisite programmes at which point she achieved her lead auditor status for ISO 9001. Working alongside some of the UK’s leading food safety professionals she rapidly developed her skill and knowledge base to support the business she was working in to strive for continuous improvement through the BRCGS audit protocol. She then used her knowledge and skills in the consultancy industry where she has worked with some of the UK’s leading manufacturers and a variety of SMEs for the past 12 years to develop and implement improvement programmes to progress to BRCGS accreditation and maintain certification in the FMCG sector. She achieved her MSc in HACCP through distance learning at Salford University and continues to pass her knowledge onto everyone she works with. Most of Angela’s work is based in the promotion of food safety and the implementation of quality management systems to support and develop the operational teams to achieve independence from her allowing them to achieve their potential. She successfully passed her 3rd party auditor food safety v7 and global standards for agents and brokers and she is currently conducting 2nd & 3rd party audits.
