David has worked in the food industry for 30 years in Technical and QA Management roles in manufacturing, foodservice and retail, and as a food safety consultant since 2007. He has worked for companies including New Covent Garden Soup Company, Bakkavor, BHS and Morrisons. Product experience includes chilled ready to eat foods, fresh produce, raw & cooked meat, bakery, ice cream and food storage and distribution activities.
David is a qualified food technologist, Chartered Scientist, Fellow of the IFST and RSPH, and holds postgraduate qualifications in HACCP. He is also lead auditor qualified.
His experience includes supplier auditing for NSF International, SALSA and SCI, and providing support for companies seeking BRCGS certification against the food safety, storage and distribution and agents & brokers standards.
