Biochemical Engineer, Food Science & Toxicology master’s degree. Alma has 20+ years of experience in the food industry. She has worked in a vast of food facilities within her role as Food Safety Manager.

She worked as a Technical Director for a global consulting firm, leading project implementation with a wide variety of customers, managing company services, business development, and evaluating along with training consultant staff in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, CSR, FSMS as HACCP,  ISO 22000, FSSC, BRCGS, IFS, SQF. She is recognized as trainer, assessor, witness and food safety technical expert by the Mexican Accreditation Entity (EMA). She worked for different CB´s as Food Safety Director, leading and training the auditor staff in HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, GLOBALG.A.P. and ORGANIC PRODUCT schemes.

For almost 10 years she was teacher at UVM, one of the largest and most recognized private universities in Mexico. The outbreak for her specialization is in Food toxicology, HACCP, thermal processing in canning; confectionery, dairy products, fresh and processed fruits and vegetables, low acid food, beverages, bakery, snacks, additives, ingredients and fresh product production, allergen control, packaging materials, and storage & distribution.

On March 1st, 2018 she was hired by AIB International Certification Services as Certification Manager to develop new business opportunities with different schemes as IFS-SD, Gluten Free Certification Program, Global Markets Program, Technical Reviewer for FSSC, SQF, IFS-SD. She also is the Internal Auditor from AIBI-CS and ATP from BRCGS Food v.8, Storage & Distribution v.3, and Packaging Materials v5 and v6.
