Beatriz studied Agricultural Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, where she gained knowledge about growing different kinds of crops, pesticides and food industry processes.

Subsequently, she attended training courses based on hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP), traceability, allergens, ISO 9000 and 22000, different food schemes, risk assessment, food law, contaminants, etc.

Most of her working experience is related to food safety, starting as a consultant, and progressing as a freelance Certification Auditor in 2003. She was also involved in the development of some schemes for approving suppliers such as v.1 of the Albert Heinj Protocol.

As a consultant, she has implemented schemes based on both good agricultural practices like GlobalGAP, Nurture, Leaf M., Integrated Production, Organics, and on good manufacturing practices like the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety, IFS, and ISO 22000 in numerous companies producing a different range of products.

She has performed a lot of first and second party audits for retailers and large companies like Pepsi, Heinz and Bimbo. She is also a BRC Global Standards approved auditor for many product categories.

She delivers training courses based on food safety, quality management systems, agriculture and environment, and in particular, BRC Global Standards training courses.
