Harshad is a Food Safety and Packaging professional having 21 years' of diverse experience ranging from food manufacturing, procurement, warehouse management, exports, and quality assurance.

He is a gold medalist in his undergraduate program and post graduate in Fisheries Management. 13 years of his experience is in manufacturing, exports, warehouse management, and quality processes; and 8 years of his profession has been devoted to the Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification (ATIC) industry of food and packaging safety, as well as training.

He is a qualified Lead Auditor for the BRCGS Standards for Food Safety, and Packaging and Packaging Materials; HACCP; ISO 22000:2005; and FSSC 22000. His auditing experience of 750 man days cover over 500 dedicated to standards such as the BRCGS Standards for Food Safety, and Packaging and Packaging Materials, and FSSC alone.

His exposure to packaging audits extends from sectors such as flexible laminates; woven Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers (FIBC); paper board and carton manufacturing; and rigid plastics. This is spread across various geographies such as India, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, the Philippines, the People's Republic of China, New Zealand, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Egypt, and the Maldives, to name a few.

He understands the challenges involved in the manufacturing of food or packaging sectors due to the ever-changing scenario of competition and varying human resource. He believes good implementation of any standard is the result of qualified individuals trained in the right perspective. He believes that success to any enterprise is delivered by highly trained and motivated professionals. His endeavour is to extend and share his vast collective experience across geographies and industry sectors.
