Elena has been a Food Technologist since 1997. Ten years after her graduation, she worked for a company, that dealt with food distribution at supermarkets, as a buyer.

In 2010 she started to work as a consultant for companies, principally, that process dried fruit to make spreads and pesto and/or and pastry products, for honey production, processing of fresh fruits and vegetables, Olive oil production and in bakery companies, developing for them the food safety system (based on BRCGS standard), implementation of the HACCP system, allergen management, European and also US labelling. Additionally, she is frequently involved in developing and implementing of quality systems based on ISO norms in packaging production and in other production sectors.
