Regina Jacintha Joseph has over 25 years of experience in the food industry, and has worked in a variety of areas including Food Microbiology, Food Safety / HACCP, Quality Control and Quality Assurance. And in addition, as a trainer, consultant and auditor.
Regina has worked with Global Food Safety Systems Initiative (GFSI) approved Food Safety Systems Certification Standards such as FSSC 22000 & SQF with the Leading Registrars in North America, SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek, DNV, and NSF as an Auditor.
She has served a large number of clientele internationally in multiple industrial sectors including meats and poultry, dairy, egg, food ingredient manufacture, recipe/ RTE meals manufacture, bakery, confectionery manufacturing, canning, UHT and aseptic operations, beverage, fruit and vegetable processing.
Additionally, she has worked with the manufacture of food packaging, food chemical manufacture, food storage and distribution, manufacture of pet food and manufacture of animal feeds for Food Safety & Quality Standards.
She is qualified in thermal processing. The unique international exposure and extensive consulting experience she has with small, medium and multinational companies provides her with the expertise to empower trainees to lead food safety and quality programs focusing on continual improvement.
Regina has work experience and auditing experience in various food packaging sectors such as PET bottle/container manufacture, films, rigid plastics forming, thermoforming, flexible plastics manufacture, paper sizing industry, corrugated carton manufacture, metal-forming, manufacture of two-piece can bodies (steel or aluminium), decorative can manufacture, printing on paper and metal.
Regina is a BRCGS Approved Training Partner for the Global Standards for Food Safety and Packaging Materials.
Regina holds a Masters degree in Science with Post Graduate Research in Industrial Biotechnology, Degree in Science with Chemistry as Major. Additionally, she is professionally trained in a number of Management System Standards including BRCGS, Quality ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, SQF, EMS, Occupational Health & Safety & Human Resource Management. She is committed to ongoing professional development, with training in Packaging Technology for Auditors, Total Quality Management and Total Productivity Management.
She is the Principal Consultant and Trainer at Food Safety and Quality Solutions in Toronto, Canada and also works in Sri Lanka.
