Karen has over 20 years of experience in the Food Industry working with blue chip companies and is currently Managing Director of Food Quality Consulting Ltd. She began working as a consultant in 2002, implementing quality systems such as ISO9001 and AIB food safety systems. She has worked in the flavour industry for many years as Operations Quality Manager for Danisco and as a consultant. Prior to that, she spent many years in the confectionery industry with Nestle and has previously worked in the bacon and cereals industries for Tulip and Weetabix. Karen has extensive experience of implementing, auditing, maintaining and training quality and food safety systems such as the BRCGS Standard for Food Safety Issue 6. She also has extensive experience of implementing, auditing, maintaining and training of HACCP systems. As a consultant, she has consolidated systems and implemented software for document management. Karen is an approved training provider for the BRCGS Standard for Food Safety Issue 6 and can deliver the following Food BRCGS courses: Understanding the Requirements, Conversion Issue 5 to 6 for Manufacturers, Third Party Auditor, Internal Auditor, Root Cause Analysis.
