Sudhakar Rao has over 32 years’ experience in the packaging industry, which includes both in converting and user industry. Started his carrier in 1984 with an R and D Foundation of packaging converting industry as R & D Chemist working on testing and on projects related to packaging materials. This included paper, paperboard, plastics, inks, varnish, adhesives and processes like printing, lamination, extrusion, co-extrusion, and corrugation. After sometime in R & D, he was transferred to foundation’s flexible packaging unit to look after Quality Assurance activities of that site.

Following this he held various roles as Head in Quality Assurance, Operations, and Packaging Development in packaging converting industries and packaging material user industry, both in India and abroad.

He has hands on experience in different packaging industries - flexible packaging industry, carton industry, corrugation industry etc.

He was also responsible, as management representative and team leader, in achieving QMS, FSSC 22000, and BRCGS certifications of multiple companies.

Earlier he audited sites as Technical Expert in QMS and FSSC 22000 certification. Currently BRCGS Packaging Material Lead Auditor and approved to carry out audits in all fields, except 8.  

His basic educational qualification includes Bachelor Degree in Science, which is reinforced with “Intensive Training Course” in Packaging from Indian Institute of Packaging, Mumbai and “Packaging Technology Course” conducted by Institute of Packaging / National Extension College, Cambridge. He has attended specialized training in Gas Chromatography in Italy and Laboratory Quality Management and Operations in Dubai.
