Verónica studied Chemistry and Microbiology in the National Polytechnic Institute in México, where she obtained also her master degree in Microbiology. Most of her working experience was obtained both in a food microbiology laboratory (LANFI) and in Normex, a Mexican certification body, where she served as an auditor, quality and safety management systems trainer and Food Products Certification Manager from 1994- 2003. Later, she worked as food safety and quality systems consultant/trainer and freelance auditor in different certification bodies, were she conducted first and third party audits in Mexico, Central and South America, Europe and Asia. As consultant most of her work was focused in the implementation of GMP-HACCP, ISO9001 and ISO17065 management systems. Veronica owns an artisanal bakery in Mexico City. Since 2011 Veronica started to work with NSF as Technical Manager of Supply Chain area, where she is technical responsible of the food inspection & certification programs; she is also ISO/FSSC22000 and BRCGS auditor. Veronica enjoys training. She delivered BRCGS training and other GFSI courses as well as HACCP. She also delivers training for quality management systems including methods for improving process performance and training of auditors. Being ATP BRCGS is regarded by Veronica as a great opportunity to collaborate to the development of the food industry
